Our RuggaRobes have all of the features that you would expect of a premium change robe but with some significant advantages over many competitors, including:
- Warm, cosy and dry (waterproof and NOT water resistant) with a thicker (380 gsm) and softer (cheaper robes are often “scratchy”) fleece and fully taped and bonded seams.
- Environmentally friendly with a 100% recycled inner fleece and outer shell.
- High quality and robust construction. This, combined with the oversizing, means that the robes can last for years (allowing for growth) and also make great sub coats.
- Designed for team sports – our recent innovations include a peaked hood (for spectators), dipped tail (to ensure rain doesn’t drip down the back of your legs) and withdrawn fleece at the cuffs, hem and hood (ensuring the robe looks smarter and the fleece does not get wet in rain).
- Able to bespoke our robes, which we have done for many rugby clubs (see our custom robe page).
Other brands may offer elements of the above, but we don’t believe that anybody offers them all for a comparable price – e.g. we are c. £40 cheaper than the comparable Dry Robe (“the Advanced”).
