Our Sizing

The key driver for sizing is your height, unless you have a large chest, stomach or dress size (see the “upper limits” column on our size chart below).  Our robes are oversized as they were originally designed to change underneath but also give you room for layering up if you want to.  The sizing is very different to that which you might select for your normal clothing and, as such, if you have never worn or tried on a change robe before, it is important to read this section thoroughly before you order.

The pictures below highlight that people can wear different sizes, depending upon the fit that they want.  As an example, a lot of smaller women can wear a 10-13 robe but may want to size up to the small as it is longer and gives more protection to their legs when standing pitch side.  The measurement table below highlights the key measurements of each robe and also details the key differences between the sizes.

The key differences, as you move up in sizing (as per the measurement chart below), are as follows:

  • 5-9 to 10-13 – the 10-13 robe is much bigger. It will often fit a petite woman
  • 10-13 to Small – the Small robe is 6cm longer in robe length, with sleeves that are 4cm longer but is the same width as the 10-13
  • Small to Medium – the Medium robe is the same length as the Small but is 10cm wider and has a sleeve length 4 cm longer
  • Medium to Large – the Large robe is bigger in every measurement
  • Large to Extra Large – again, the Extra Large robe is bigger in every measurement

If the purpose is for changing indoors, opting for a size up may be advisable. Alternatively, for those intending to use the robe primarily as outerwear, a snugger fit corresponding to your regular size is recommended.
